All Stars Cricket is Coming to Hambrook!!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new All Stars Cricket programme starting in May……..

It’s an exciting initiative backed by the England & Wales Cricket Board.

All Stars Cricket gives girls and boys from the ages of five to eight an opportunity to become a star. The curriculum of fun cricket activities and games provides your children with the basic movement skills to begin a lifelong love of our sport and general physical activity.

For an hour a week over an eight-week period starting Sunday 13th May starting at 10.30am, our fully trained and vetted activators will deliver game-based activities that teach basic cricket skills including catching, throwing and hitting moving balls and social skills such as teamwork and communication. Held at accredited cricket clubs such as Hambrook, these courses are the perfect way for children to learn about cricket and make friends in a safe and, most importantly, fun environment.

The cost of the All Stars Programme is £40 – as well as receiving the above activities, all participants will receive the equipment pack that comprises of:

For parents wanting to register their children for All Stars just click on this link: https://www.ecb.co.uk/play/all-stars/parents –
***Just remember to select Hambrook CC as your choice of All Stars Cricket Centre!!***

As well as the option to register there is a whole raft of information about All Stars Cricket on the ECB website.
We would recommend signing up asap – the programme was run at other local clubs in 2017 and was extremely popular.

(A note to parents with children already involved with our Under 7’s & Under 9’s Kwik Cricket, All Stars will be run as a standalone programme to our well established Youth Cricket programme and aimed at getting new children into playing – the Kwik Cricket will continue to run on Sunday mornings on the common, new players are welcome to join this instead but please note there is no equipment offer………)

Finally, I would like to thank Carol & Danika Dyer for coming forward to be our All Stars Activators – they both have extensive previous experience running & administering youth cricket programmes and like all our Youth Coaches/ managers, I know they will deliver a top class experience for the kids!!
